Obituary

William Roy "Dub" Hall, 52, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at home after a courageous battle with ALS, better known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.

Dub was born February 26, 1958 in Logan, Utah, to Lee and Sandra Hall. He grew up throughout Southeastern Idaho and graduated from Grace High School in 1976.

Dub married his high school sweetheart, Traci Lee Thomas, November 30, 1979. Seven years later, they were blessed with their only child, Whitney Lee. Soon after, they moved to Bakersfield, California where he later started his own construction company. As his daughter grew older, it became clear she was her daddy's little girl. The one thing Dub loved to do most was taking his daughter to swim meets throughout California. He was so proud of her accomplishments and he never missed a chance to share them with friends and family. After moving to Bakersfield, Dub also became an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed going to the local car races.

Dub is preceded in death by his mother Sandra Choules Hall. He is survived by his wife, Traci of Bakersfield, CA and one daughter, Whitney and Adam Green of Provo, UT. Dub is also survived by his father, Lee and Juanita Hall of Grace, ID; one sister, Sindy Koller of Soda Springs, ID; and two brothers, Jon and Patti Hall of Soda Springs, ID and Wesley and Lucy Hall of Bakersfield, CA.

Services will be held on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Noon at the Thatcher-Williams Ward LDS Chapel in Niter, Idaho. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Church prior to services. Burial will be in the Grace Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the ALS Association.
